Everything old is NEW...

Whisper words of wisdom....

I'mmmmmm back, and full of life!

With Oodles and oodles of stories floating around in my mind.

I have been a very busy woman, not so much on the writing or romantic side of things.  Work has consumed most hours in the day, which has led into weeks and now months. Now that I have settled into my new job, my confidence is soaring high. I can get back to what truly makes me tick...making people laugh

One thing is guaranteed,   I am the same, quirky, quick witted, sarcastic woman I have always been.

Can you believe it, it's February 5,2026     I am going to be another year older in a matter of ten days....

Thing is, I feel younger than ever, mentally and  physically.

That makes me think of my favourite movie...The Age Of Adaline  a classic from 2015.. Where a freak accident left her with the gift of staying young forever.   That is truly how I feel in this moment we are in.

The older I get, the younger I feel. A paradox if you will :)

I binge watched the latest season of Bridgerton on the weekend, and it got me thinking about words we no longer use in daily  life....I'll be honest  I had to look up the meaning of a few words...Rake for example: short for "rakehell"  meaning a promiscuous lifestyle...why did we stop using the word.  I find it rather humorous, I've used it on multiple occasions as of late, people look at me like I've lost my mind.  Look it up I tell them, and then we have a good laugh. We've all been a "Rake" at one point in our life, so we all relate.

another word I'd love to see return in 2026 is "Pinnacle"  I reached the pinnacle with my lover four times in one night.

Bring "class" back into an era where we are overrun with slang and abbreviations.

How about "jargogle" simply meaning confuse. We live in a time where creativity is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Not many who have an imagination anymore, or who can think outside the box.

I met a man who was snoutflair and monsterful.  He brought me to the pinnacle in his arms. I would say he was full of monkeyshines rather than that of a rake.

How much fun would we have using these words.    So be it, it may not be for everyone, but I find it fascinating how we have another language  inside our language.  Like that of Morris code for dummies...yes I think I am rather clever. Don't care if you think otherwise.

Cheerio for now,

xoxox

Carrie

Speaking words of wisdom....Let it be...
